August 2022 Update

We are excited to update you on some of the things going on in the Fluty house and are asking for our prayer partners to join us in praying over some opportunities. But first, a marriage update. August 20th will be 9 months of marriage. It’s hard to believe because we can’t even remember life before we were together. The past few months have had a lot of ups and downs. We have been working through some struggles in our marriage with the help of some wonderful people who love us well. We mourned the death of Grace’s dad and we have been trying our best to adjust to us both having new jobs. In all of this we have also had some amazing growth in our relationships with God and with each other. The lows have been so hard but the highs are beyond words. We are on a journey to pay off debt and have made good progress over the past few months. Continue to pray that God would remain at the center of our marriage. 

Now, we get to share with you some exciting news on the missions front. We are still working with our recruiter, Mike, from Encompass in this first stage of the vetting process. Through conversation with him and our Give it Away pastor, Steve at Grace Church, we have been presented with a possible opportunity to do a missions tour. We would travel to Ireland, England and France checking out their ministries and seeing if God creates a vision and passion for any area in particular. This trip will likely happen in November which is way sooner than we expected to be traveling. There are a lot of details that we would need to get figured out very quickly (ie. getting approved by Encompass, arranging unpaid time off with our jobs, contacting the different ministries, etc). Please pray with us that God would direct and establish our steps in a way that honors Him. Please also pray that he would be preparing our hearts for the journey.
